It is not really apples to apples, but generally speaking the more money invested the further ahead you will be eventually in the future, just because your compounding base is higher, regardless of where the money comes from - ie, 4 300k properties are 1.2 million on property, which is double the 600k property.

I would love to make a move before the end of the year and so I keep trying to decide which of the following is best for me:1) Buy 1 more expensive CA property near here, and thus a better tenant (less likely to cause issues), but lose a little bit of money every month due to the current numbers, while hoping for future appreciation?

They don't care when you try to explain all the future projects, they actually hate hearing that since it sounds like a scam, when an investor says, "Give me a good price and I will have a lot of work for you" it sends chills up their spines.
