I will take another swing at this... how about Las Vegas... very low maintenance in a desert environment ... no tax's  .... and industry that will never die at least not in vegas.. other areas but not there.  

I like to also think in terms of utility costs for the tenants.. so think about areas with long cold winters utls can be very expensive etc.Think about a place like Las Vegas virtually no maintenance in the desert environment.

It's a food desert (closest grocery stores are in Commerce City and Stapleton), there is no gym access within 20 min. besides the small rec center, there is virtually nothing you can walk to for food, and the closest veterinarian is in Park Hill. 

@Aaron Mazzarillo thanks for the cheery post you have made me feel better about my properties in Desert Hot Springs because we were rumoured to be where the criminals were released.

I am in the desert of SoCA and water usage is strictly enforced.

I am relocating to the Puget Sound area towards the end of this year as well,  it's time to say good bye to the desert.  

I do see many 100% outside RV storage lots in the desert climate areas in LA county looking pretty full still.

Is that like a rock garden with desert plants or just plain concrete and basketball hoop? 

Please let us know when you DO "land that first deal" (and of course, have the ability to close it into your name even when your cash buyers desert you).

What I can't figure out is taking out location, if I plopped this thing in the middle of a desert, what would a blank building be worth?
