He could have easily sold his Tesla shares instead to fund the deal, but by taking on debt and using them as collateral, one of the things he is doing is avoiding the taxable event that would otherwise happen if he sold the stock, and getting what is probably an extremely low interest rate for the loan.

The borrowers BK Lawyer helped with the UCC 1 we needed on the cross collateral and my Title company did the mortgage and I wrote the note.

@Larry Cersosimo,It is not possible to use your 401k as collateral for the loan, IRS specifically prohibits this.

I paid them as instructed and they agree to return money and I trusted them based on their website, it seems professional.Once they received 3% ($1230 USD) payment by wise, they demanded 20% of the money as collateral mortgage since I did not have the property title.

You'll still want to vet them like a regular borrower but make sure you're first position in the loan and have an attorney draft up the promissory note for you with the asset as collateral.

I believe the neighbor has some beef with the city, and is trying to use this issue to create a problem for the city, my friend is just the unlucky guy who gets to be collateral damage.The small town utility department doesn't have record drawings of the laterals, and they are not being too helpful.
