I am doubtful due to the eviction ban still current until august 31st in New York.

Hello BP,Who here plans to raise rents more than they normally would due to losses caused by either the national eviction ban or local ones?  

Let me summarize what I hear to make sure I got it correctly:- STR has higher property management rates (25-30%) unlike 10-12% for LTR- Local policies are more dynamic for STR and what is allowed now, can be banned in the future (I saw that happening in HI when considering buying a real-estate there), should have a backup plan- STR require more management time thus if managed personally, should expect more involvement- Look at Florida and Carolina (NC?)

In my state (CO) a landlord can't charge extra nor ban a prospective tenant for a support animal, even if that animal is banned by insurance or local ordinance.

The town is now considering banning STR because of these 5 properties.

Just be careful as several towns in the White Mountains are having discussions on short-term regulations and/or bans.  

I remember that nonsense regarding the Tenant's Bill of Rights which originally was going to ban screening for felonies or evictions.

While the CDC moratorium was far reaching, there were states/cities with significantly more restrictive local bans on evictions.
