@Nicholas L., I truly would be interested in giving STR a shot but I do worry about being far away from it as well as new regulations being put into place (like here where we live they are in the process of pretty much eliminating any STRs completely).

According to the water meter, approximately 1 days after being served the court summons for eviction, the tenant turned on all of the faucets in the home and ran them for about 55 days.

Even if summons is served at the address noone is there to sign it or receive it when a server tries to serve it. how does it work if server cant reach the defendant.

Anytime l get into an investment or look to start a business, I know that I will be investing something. 

While currently unrented, the duplex may serve as temporary housing for tenants from a nearby commercial property I also own, which requires repairs.
