@Michael Klinger  As others posted, SoFi and Discover personal loans are good options and I've used them in the past.  2-3 business days from application to funds in my checking account.

Set up a contracts account at both Lowes and HD. 

I would either just put the return in a brokerage account, or buy a rental property near where I now live (on the east coast), where you can buy a lot more for the money.
