Hey I think that you can be successful, but it doesn't sell books and tapes and seats at seminars to say you are going to be broke until you get some experience.

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive company for asphalt sealing?

I was driving for dollars in my backyard and stumbled upon this house that was obviously vacant.The curious thing, is there were multiple code violations and other material taped to the front door and windows.

I have a hammer, tape measure, and a couple screwdrivers, but otherwise I have about as many tools as you would expect a renter to have who has never been responsible for maintenance!

But I've been told (by these excavators I'm receiving bids from) that there is no "plug" in that pipe in front of my house so they would actually have to create a brand new one and pull multiple permits and lay new asphalt because the "plug" would be in the middle of the street, which would cost upwards of $12-15,000.

What I would do is check your basement floor first by putting a 3 foot by 3 foot piece of clear plastic down on the floor first and tape around all corners.
