Either/or both will give you more useful knowledge (in my opinion), and one only adds a few glances over your shoulder in a process you already have in place.I can't help but see social media screening as a shortcut towards the same end as home visits, ultimately, but with less usefulness and a false sense that you're mitigating risk on marginal applications, if they even get that far, as you'll likely deny good renters who simply don't want the invasion of privacy.
