It may be a little tougher to find something in your budget, but it's close to DC, has a solid professional community of young professionals, and is considered way too expensive by most people to just buy their own house (although ironically they could likely afford a condo easy peasy...).

Otherwise across iron point/prairie city/boardstone/empire ranch are great neighborhoods.

Ironically I am no bleeding heart liberal in business or finance, but socially I am pretty lefty, I admit. 

(Ironically, many of those people went to college!) 

I am inro working out (when I find the time) and collecting old iron weights and dumbbells (YORK, JACKSON, ETC).My goal is to be independant and wealthy.

The only time I have ever even discussed paying a contractor for "bids" was when I had a GC who offered to walk through my wholesale deals and help me iron out a rehab estimate. 

I am looking to connect with like minded individuals who are highly motivated, I believe in iron sharpening iron.

I have some wrought iron repair I'd like to have done on the front porch at my 4-unit and the $1000 can go toward that.
