I would like to be within 30 minutes or less of either Orlando or Fort Lauderdale international airport.

A SFH with inlaw suite is also an option.MTR: you'll want to be close to hospitals/airport/large employers or entertainment 

I wonder if it will simply become a way to transport drugs between the three cities avoiding police on the freeway and avoiding airport sniffing dogs???

This happens in hallways in elevators according to the Owners that I work with on apartment buildings.Most new builds these days use carpet tiles that can be cleaning or easily pulled out and replaced.It might not hurt to take a UV flashlight, dim the lights, and see if you can locate any "accident" areas.If its not pet (or trash as mentioned above), it could be adjacent tenants.As far as making things smell better, they do make scent machines that hookup to your HVAC system and you get to pick the scent it diffuses. 

.- Nearby convenient and marketable places like stores, airport, parks, shops, etc.- Personally I chose the cheapest most outdated property in the best neighborhood and will be doing a full cosmetic rehab along with adding a 4th bedroom and some sq ft to unfinished basement to improve resale AND rent.

If so charge a fee to enter the hunting preserve.Plant trees along the shores and down some in the water to make fish hiding spots for anglers.Sponsor drag-boat races once a month.Rental pedal boats, call it courtship lake and have a wedding venue for rent with a view of the lake.Sell it to the YMCA to use as a summer swimming camp.If you own the land adjacent, build on that.Easier fish to fry than this project.Just my 2 cents...
