It comes down to material types, roof age, claim history for the property, claim history for surrounding properties, rolling catastrophies in the zip code, credit, loss history for the applicant, profitability for the other insurance companies in that area, age, marriage status, and many other tiny/annoying factors that us brokers cannot see.

Other than removing it completely this is the only alternative, also check to see if the fresh air inlet is clear from any obstructions (piping right before the inlet to the trap) which extends to the outside atmosphere somewhere close, normally a side wall and can be identified on the side of the house or under a porch if close.Usually has a mushroom cap cover or a cover with tiny inlet holes all around the face like a shower drain would perhaps.
