Since they invested with cash, values go up and down and there is no special stress on the firm itself, unlike a highly leveraged firm who just lost all their collateral and now has to replace it.PPR was willing to provide an inventory of what was in the fund, but they don't regularly publish it because it is constantly changing and they don't want to incur the cost.

If a dead person has family around who care enough to publish and obituary, he or she has heirs around who would redeem the lien.Imagine some single guy who came from Europe, settled and bought a house in Arizona, cut contact with his family back home, died of old age, and the sheriff's office recovered and burried his body.
