(Though maybe we're biased because we work with a lot of Denver and Colorado Springs clients on Airbnb issues and properties.)So the short answer, as @Herb Dorn said, under the current Denver STR rules you can do what you're talking about.

I'm a little biased, but I think Mid-Michigan in general is a good spot to park your money for now. 

Biased opinion: Columbus is the best market.It does not matter where you start as long as you develop your Core 4.
