Generally condo real property is in one of three categories, units, common elements and limited common elements. 

We're definitely in different parts of the country or the quotes I'm getting just go far beyond what you're talking about and probably consist mostly of coverage against the elements as we've got some here in SWFL.

The problem with them is the limited number of apartments available compared to those who need them, and the violent criminal element using these places as homes between prison sentences making them dangerous to other who live there.So there are solutions, just not perfect solutions.Good Luck!  

I find it hard to believe any insurance carrier worth their salt would not alter the premium based on an increased element of risk.I personally would have the seller deliver the unit vacant. 

What I mean is - if each element is on its mark, there isn't a reason the property shouldn't sell.
