I wish it was that easy but with 5 kids and 4 pets, it's tough to keep moving every year or so (especially since we've been moving so much for the past 25 years).

Pet odor removal services cost between $8k to $10k.

Keep your common areas clean and neat, possibly have a house cleaner come in twice a month for these areas if your budget allows it, have solid house rules that you enforce regarding at a minimum quiet hours, parking, smoking, pets, and visitors just for starters and be sure to run it like a business and decide if you will have month to month terms, 6 month terms or yearly terms.

Of the 3 inherited leases, the tenants were not asked to pay a pet rent for their cats, nor a pet deposit.

Consider all the things that could go wrong and see if the lease addresses them: unauthorized pets or tenants, early termination, security deposit, lease violations, late rent, eviction, lawn maintenance, parking, etc.5.

Another thing I'm curious about is whether your traveling staff ever come with pets or family members?

I list my two bedroom cabin (Mayberry Lodge) as “pet friendly” to appeal to more people.
