hi @Jaycee,  the top floor(the one you see on the listing 8915 E Wes Pl Tucson), is essentially a ground floor as far as entering and exiting the home as the bottom floor(finished basement etc) is underneath it built into the other side of the foothill the house is sitting on.  

I’d love to hear your thoughts on strategies that have worked for you.

If you’re upfront about your plan and your lender is on board, you should be good to go.Sounds like a great strategy!

Do you and your husband have any kind of long term strategy in mind?

This gives much better diversification protection across geographies, asset types, strategies, investment subclasses etc. versus putting all the eggs into one basket.The downside is that it's not for everyone, and a person has to be comfortable with turning over control to someone else.
