The housing collapse from a decade ago, people thought was the worst recession since the great depression, but completely gloss over the early 80s recession where unemployment reached higher levels, and without the kind of social safety net we had in 2008.

With the current issues, remember in the last recession Bear Stearns collapsed in 2008, but we didn't hit the bottom until 2010/11.

I had a tenant who did that and was happy about his profits and then it collapsed.
