There will always be demand in the market (it's not like some covid markets that could disappear as vacation destinations almost entirely over the next decade), and the regulation risk is as near to zero as you can get in this industry so long as you buy in the approved tourist zones (again, compared to some smaller/less mature markets where they could outlaw STRs tomorrow).For short period cash flow there are better options.

The one you can scale.I know successful business owners in the fitness industry, tanning salons, real estate, window coverings, maintenance, billboard, ATMs, etc.Generally, I would be skeptical of jumping into a business based on YouTube videos hosted by and featuring people that are likely primarily trying to sell you their respective courses.Small businesses can indeed be great investments, but they are hard.

That depends on what I am starting with capital wise, family wise, and intentions.If I'm a regular joe believing the ******** BP and other areas state of FI in 5 years with REI I take a chill pill and start buying in an area that's showing promise(already changing) in a city that's growing(industry, population wise) that's free from natural disaster risk(as best as I could).
