If it's gas, that's dangerous and the dryer should be disconnected until proper venting is installed.Bring it to the owners attention.  

Besides the regular tenant nightmare issues like tenants letting the pipes freeze due to services being disconnected for non-payment, property damages, ongoing calls about plumbing issues, and the list goes on and on and on... there are other reasons (when dealing with Section 8 tenants) that would not make it cost-effective to be an absentee landlord that doesn't bother with their tenants.There are routine inspections, repair reports, fluctuations in rent portions, and times where NHA will abate (not withhold) rent due to failed inspections.

I essentially call them so many times and keep calling until the number is disconnected or they tell me to get lost.

The water bill is 4 months unpaid and should have been disconnected.

The owner/partner has no disconnect between action->financial result.

The disconnect for me, and the homeowners is we didn't expect to have showings.

Also in my county if it has been vacant for more than a year power is disconnected at the main, in order to get it turned back on electrical must be updated.

We were held up at the beginning because the gas company was very slow disconnecting the gas before we could demo.
