I do stop by once or twice a year to trim bushes and low hanging limbs so that I can keep shrubs the size I want but mowing and snow removal is simple and something most renters should be able to do.

An approximation works, and assume full costs (trimming, paint, etc and some work around electrical, ducts, etc).

Since the door is black, I'd keep the white trim and add some black vinyl shutters on the windows to match the door and leave the white trim.

Trim outside tree limbs so mice won't use the higher limbs to drop onto the house to get in.. you'd be surprised. 

Paint: I've been using Skyline Steel from SW for the walls and Felted Wood for the trim.

Put some fancy trim on it and call it a column.

if healthy maybe trim well and watch close.
