Tax lien certificate auctions come in all sizes; I’ve seen as many as 100,000 tax certificates available in Cook County, Chicago, IL to as few as 1,300 certificates in Santa Cruz County which is Nogales, Arizona.

Oh, and by the way, they had recently passed a "no rental" rule as well since someone didn't like the smell of someone else's cooking and that person happened to be a renter.

It seems to be just a certain type of cooking/cuisine that causes this (with as much emphasis on being as sensitive to other cultures as possible) We actually dug into it a bit more today and it seems as though the microwave (above the stove doubling as the hood without an outdoor vent) is holding on to some serious grease/dust that is undoubtedly a large portion of the concern.

But providing functional living quarters, including the ability to cook food, is a basic responsibility of a landlord.As you get new tenants, include in their leases language about how appliances are provided as a convenience but you are not responsible for them (this is ONLY for appliances you are not required by law to provide; lease language will NOT relieve you of a legal obligation.)
