Lots of long time locals (service industry folks, ski instructors, teachers, outdoor enthusiasts, etc) are being pushed out because long-time rentals are being sold & many people are moving up from wealthier areas like San Francisco and buying up properties that seem like a “deal” when compared to the Bay Area — deal in quotes because the median house price has increased by ~70% over the past year here.I have started thinking about the idea of building a tiny home village where the homes are tiny houses on wheels / chassis, and providing them at a reasonable rent.

So when he could not get a house to rent that was not already a dump, his parents bought him a tiny house as that was what they could get a mortgage on and he paid his parents.

Making cash flow on a very tiny investment.If you can flip it and sell it for cash quick you double your money in a short amount of time.The owner finance deal seems to slim to deal with the risk involved. a $500 down payment is not going to keep someone from walking away after trashing the place.
