Can you give a quick overview on getting rid of bed bugs... specifically, Is there a reliable DIY remedy for vacant units and/or for occupied units? 

it's not ok to wholesale surgery.  

there can be agreements to remedy some of the down side but if the middle man or the end user goes dark this is a tough spot to be in for the original seller..

The inspector is recommending mold remediation in the bedrooms.  

I will work on findin a way to have the seller remedy this.  

Can take up $90k to remediate for the average 3 bedroom home.Make sure there is no Chinese Drywall as it's not good for your health...

Saved my brother in law a potential mold disaster that he used to get remediation done. 

I was wondering if anyone who has done this can tell me if after comparing price per sqft of the building aspect of the project only (cost of land, environmental remediation, and demo excluded) they have found modulars to be a more cost effective way to go rather than stick built.

Do I have any remedy other than to continue to pay the mortgage until the house is sold.

@Sarah BuchananDepending on how bad the flood was and construction of basement I'd be extra cautious on how the remediation was carried out of moving forward.
