I'm looking at a multi-cabin STR deal that pencils out well from % a return perspective, but would involve an annoying amount of complexity managing guests when I consider the actual return in dollars I would be receiving.

I work in the social services field and have become aware of these types of places and am wanting to learn more about them from the investors perspective.  

Note, because it looses money otherwise might be a reason from the LL’s perspective but is not from the tenant’s perspective.  

From my perspective, it often feels like they’re signaling “I’ve got this, keep away.”

Another may see it from the perspective that they've been getting a free ride all this time and now the party has ended.

@Jamie Dupont From a tax perspective, you can deduct repair expenses related to the damages caused by the tenant as long as they’re for restoring the property (e.g., fixing holes, broken fixtures).

I expect that I'll be reserving time in various resorts and farming those weeks out to perspective vacationers, does anyone know if VRBO, or AirBnB, or some other site would be most appropriate for this approach?

The digital world is full of different perspectives and this is already more time than I care to share on this topic any more.

However, my perspective is more cautious, driven not just by statistical analysis but by firsthand observations in the field and insights from investors and developers across the country.
