I don't want to get into a "cat & mouse" game (pardon the pun) where the cat hides when I visit to follow up on this, and the tenant continues to deny its existence.

This is a good thread, I am enjoying this and learning some too, thanks all, especially @Dion DePaoli and Bill Gulley I have taken some good notes ( written, pun intended).I have one more question then I can close this chapter and move on.

You already have some tools in your toolbox....no pun intended.

Nothing impossible, it would just be the path of least resistance (electrical pun intended) for us to live in Unit 1.2) Unit 2 doesn't have access to that space, not a biggie, but still something we're taking into consideration.You are right though, this is only a temporary ordeal.
