Double glass is usually sufficient as opposed to triple glass (depending on weather and noice conditions), but I would recommend a thicker glass (usually it is 3mm, but upgrading to 4mm glass would not cost much more and it would provide better insulation and resistance to accidental breakage).if you need any more info, just ask

Follow that to the tip ,,,hold down the pilot button,,,light the pilot,,,continue to hold down till tc holds flame on and turn to on.You may need a new valve or just a new tc if it doesnt work right or reliably.That all being said the pics look like that lady has some age on her.

I've had places with flaming code violations that managed to sell and close because the appraiser didn't know and the town didn't check for those specific issues (I'm thinking specifically of furnace issues).If they're just backyard projects, they may just need to be cleaned up and made safe/secure before closing.
