Account Closed no not if its a short sale..these are ANTI EQUITY skimming laws... so if someone has true equity the state is protecting it by requiring anyone who acquires a house pre foreclosure and does not move into it as their resident or use it as a rental..

Hi Taylor,Just by briefly skimming the sold comps in Sac town and all, and the fact that you feel you have 57k of equity, that probably means you wont much cash proceeds if you sell assuming you are paying normal closing costs (escrow, title, notary, other fee's, and real estate commissions).You could always refinance the property as low as possible with another FHA loan if your rate is not already favorable compared to what is available today on the market (around 3.250 - 3.50%).Hope that helped.
