Contributing the 401k max is a great and easy way of contributing to your retirement...However, Instead of maxing out the 19.5k, think about contributing to a Roth IRA which since you've already paid taxes on it, will grow Tax FREE, and no minimum withdrawals to worry about.

@Theresa HarrisIt would cost about the same for both. 3 bdrm&2 bath is around $360k... a single duplex going for $350k.... and another duplex for $600k... our max is $600k.

I know RUBS is done on smaller units but I can see more issues on a 52 unit property since the utilities are simply divided among all the tenants on some priests basis with no accountability for any particular tenant’s actual use/frugality/wasteful habits.
