I think the main way buyers are able to actually buy a home in the Phoenix market is if they are lucky ... lucky they have an inside connection, lucky to have a good Realtor, lucky to be at the right place at the right time, lucky their offer was accepted, lucky the new home builder picked their "golden ticket," ... just plain lucky. 

If you say you have the savings, then you are golden.

You have to decide if you want to be a Golden Corral buffet as a broker or a high end like Ruth's Chris. 

@Nelson Sandoval if you bought after 2008 then it was golden timing but if you bought in late 2005/early 2006 your values went down.

The golden ticket is finding someone to help you identify them from afar. 

I’ve worked in the construction industry for 15 years now and I can tell you this career path is a golden ticket. 5-10 years down the road you can start your own business.

Currently dealing with the very nice dilemma of deciding if I’m going to buy stocks on the low or wait for the next golden real estate opportunity.
