So, you have this incorrect belief of how the market is "supposed" to be working, all you see is the opposite.

The human brain is always in 100% support of it's host, so if you say you can't ___, your brain cements that as a fact, and places into subconsciousness that it is a fact that you can not, which reinforces your beliefs, and it becomes a spiral of a self-fulfilling prophecy. 

Changing the zoning negatively impacts the owners who purchased with certain beliefs based on the existing zoning. 

We don't See it happening in the short term.The needed softening for all this overheated value or belief in such , is what we are beginning to see and embrace to get back to a more balanced marketplace .My beer bet for this being prediction flopping hard ,is pretty safe for the October and the near future .

I have been in this game for 3 years now and I love studying real estate and learning, and since I started, I've overcome false beliefs and acquired new mindsets.

I have an uncle who is an astute investor (CCIM), and he uses 1031's religiously.  

I have no belief that the macro RE market is on the verge of collapse.

The more they help an agent grow their business, the less profitable they become.The stock value is propped up as new stock is constantly being issued to agents who not only have a long lock up period, but also have a cult lile belief in the company, so they are chasing it higher and higher.

An engineer, opposite of popular belief, needs to be a people person... in REI, having a great network, partners, etc is key to growth.

My personal belief is that you can't go wrong with buy and hold real estate right now.
