Fortunately, I will be affiliating with a broker sometime this week and will also have access to the MLS and I'll be able to look at REOs and such (it's much easier on my introverted personality).

They partner up with affiliate companies and marketers to sell all kind of do dads to new agents that don't know any better and get hundreds to thousands out of them selling the next greatest thing.

It sounds like a lot of their revenue is made by comparing the user's info to their affiliate's offers for things like mortgages, insurance, etc.

We only pay for results so if one of our affiliates brings a buyer we pay them an agreed on price. 

@Eva Salas, thanks for the input, now I have heard it both ways, this was advice from another party not affiliated through here, but I guess it is gonna come down to the perspective of the owners of how they view it.

Some of his advice, like buying high cost, actively managed mutual funds from his endorsed local providers who are paying him affiliate commissions for every lead they get from him, are terrible ideas.  

I'd say there are no issues on this end, unless you want to have a foreign affiliate entity that is consolidated with the domestic entities.
