I'm thinking that even though it's only one month before the end of their lease, that I should go ahead and do it now to reduce the risk of a lawsuit from them claiming inadequate snow removal, and because I am quite sure that I would have to evict them for staying over in a couple of months anyway.

Most of the tenants are families and they are moving from another SFH and most have appliances.In apts. we do supply frig and range and most of those tenants don't have appliances and are moving from another apt to our apt.In condos and high end rentals we have supplied some or all appliances.One class of tenants that either don't have appliances or have appliances that don't work here are tenants coming from another country where they don't have 110 volt appliances.

They do need to produce a high quality experience for their members.With non-profit, like NWREIA in Portland, OR, all the dues, which really are quite minimal, go right back into the membership.

Legally removing some or all of the tenants not only creates vacancies, which are very expensive, but just as bad is the ill will, and that will cross pollinate to other residents.

As I wrote in another post above, if the building envelope is inadequately insulated and not properly air sealed, then the traditional approach of installing an oversized furnace, with a cheaper fuel source, may be more cost effective than simply dropping a heat pump into the property without affecting any other improvements.
