I grew up working on farms, buildings barns, rebuilding and fixing houses, and I've done everything from roofs to drywall inside, so I love the idea of getting a place and fixing it to rent for even more than before, or possibly even flipping it.

One normally rebuilds with insurance money, thus the house is new and gets sold at market price or they continue to rent it.

In some areas, in the event of a total disaster that wipes out the structure(s), the re-build would have to be conforming; so the rebuild might have restrictions to consider.

Thank you, Nick, working on leads now...have  few...luckily we moved to a seaside community in NJ ravaged by Sandy (that came out wrong...I meant there was opportunity to rebuild the town, not good that people lost homes).
