Scottsdale passed two laws in 2021 designed to curb abuses by short-term renters.The first ordinance requires each property’s emergency contact to respond in person to the site within one hour for emergencies if police have to respond for complaints about unruly gatherings.The second ordinance sets fines at the maximum amounts allowed under state law. 

Duplexes / ADUs and up are under state wide rent control and are also subject to newer tenant protection and strict eviction rules.

That said, I can't understate how energized I am at seeing the project through to the end and ticking of that holy grail of the first RE deal under my belt and then renting out and living for (close to) free. 

Frankly in B2B you need a pro level of CYA communication but also understated what should stay in-house per a contractual ‘need to know’ level of transparency.Sorry, but there is significant truth to “no good deed goes unpunished” if a dispute arises and legal issues get activated.

There may be a more expansive definition under state law (although I don't believe SC has one).
