Hi Folks,Does anyone send out something around winter time reminding tenants to keep the furnace on, use gradual temp decreases when lowering the thermostat, etc? 

Does the home have any type of thermostatic controlled heat?  

There will also be a new thermostat as well. 

Making sure the thermostat is working, checking the transformer on the circuit board, changing the pilot light module or heat sensor. 

A nest or other wireless thermostat might also be worth considering too.James

Oh, got a few extra questions: With the lease ended July 31 (in a few hours), I am thinking of switching off the Internet to the tenants, disabling the thermostat (no air-conditioning), and disabling DirecTV.

My tenant reported that if she set the thermostat at 75F the system would cycle on and off as is normal.

Get a lower-cost cell plan, cut or cancel cable, change the setting on your thermostat at home, turn off the AC when you aren't there.

You can connect 2 of the blower units on one 240v feed with sep thermostats (using the correct breaker & wire gauge sizing).
