You could have damage and items stolen everytime you do something.This is a marathon not a sprint. 

I agree with the previous post that you should probably replace what was stolen with PEX.

I have never stolen copper but a good fire in a trashcan will burn off paint pretty quickly.

Ok had my ID stolen so I know something about this first hand.

If it's in a bad location, sometimes copper plumbing, AC units, or wiring will have been stolen from under the house or in the attic.

I had a situation where my bag was stolen from the airport (many years ago; hence the reason I no longer check luggage), and they wanted to give me a paltry amount, but I showed my receipts from some expensive items, and they were forced to pay that amount, so documentation is key.
