It's sometimes a little tougher to get one on an investment property vs. a primary residence but If you can get it I would strongly recommend looking into it.

It is much easier to find HELOCS for your primary residence, but some lenders will do a HELOC on a investment property as well

That being said, I had competing issues. 1) my wife and I are buying a new primary residence (much to my chagrin), and 2) in december, we bought a condo rental that is currently being renovated (a much lighter project) and that process is also a little stressful.
