Hopefully they are minor and we can overcome those to proceed with getting our portfolio started.

I believe this is the face of adversity, and we have panicked over it, but now we will press onwards.

I like taking photos of things that don't move, but every property I've done has unique challenges that I've had trouble overcoming.

Hey New York can be competitive but you can overcome any completion of you have the right marketing strategy to reach to the right people.

@Chris Mason Respectfully, not everything is math...there are all sorts of reasons that someone may be in a position to pay a higher rate, these "challenges" (DTI, Credit Score, BK, F, etc) can be overcome by going to person lender who can overlook these and a deal can be "handcrafted", secured against the collateral vs. fitting into some bank's guidelines. 

Then join a local REI group and begin using this formula to overcome your fear of the unknown....Definite Goal/Plans + Faith + Emotion + Action  = All Human AccomplishmentFaith = Knowing you can accomplish your goal / Self ConfidenceEmotion = Feeling you can accomplish your goal / objectiveIf you feel that you are deficient in any element, focus on working on that until you feel you're ready to take action.I wish you the best.

I was wondering if any more experienced members would be willing to share their stories about flips gone wrong, mistakes a beginner might make during the rehab, and stories about problems they have overcome to reach success? 

A lot of what I'm trying to overcome is anxiety about making the wrong choice or focusing on the wrong objective.

Please keep in mind that this is an abbreviated story and in no way could ever represent the amount of adversity that I experienced through this process or the effort that was required.Looking back, I am amazed with power of real estate and have found a true passion, like nothing I ever experienced in my job and I wish anyone on a similar trajectory to push as hard as you can.

You're basically there to help them by buying at a fair price and get them rid of potential problem and hassle. when I meet people in that situation I tell them: I'm sorry for your lost, just wanted to let you know that if you are interested in selling xyz property, then I'd be willing to make an fair offer on it and help them avoid potential adversity by buying with no condition and quickly.
