I’ve never stayed in a VRBO, but have used Airbnb in Galveston, Brooklyn, New Orleans, Barcelona, Paris, Santorini, Milos, Athens, Bangkok, Tokyo, Kyoto, Mexico City & Tulum.  

So here is where I’m at...I have a triplex under contract through a wholesaler here in New Orleans, LA.

My properties are in New Orleans so, unfortunately, I know ALL about the insanely high rates for named storm coverage (tropical storms and hurricanes) with property insurance. 

Ya I used to live in One Orleans for 9 years on Jeanetta. 

Welcome - you'll find that there is a decent amount of people that invest in Louisiana here (more so Baton Rouge and New Orleans) and there are a few of us that invest in the Lafayette area.

I am currently based out of Lafayette, Louisiana where I have a few units currently leased out already and am planning to expand into New Orleans in the near future. 2.

We both did real estate school at Tulane University in New Orleans, so I trust his judgement.

Maybe I should branch out to other, bigger, markets (Baton Rouge, New Orleans)?

Watch out Port of New orleans, and watch out NJ gambling and watch out for a lotta other stuff.

The thing is, New Orleans is unlike any other place.
