Have booked and managed live theaters for a number of years, looking to change careers and become an active real estate investor and property manager.

In my area, we have repurposed theaters, retail space and bowling alleys into churches.

Theaters, car dealers, service based businesses, etc may not make it very long either, further driving down real estate.Basically, there's going to be a lot of downward pressure on commercial until this is over, and a lot of stuff may never recover if it lasts long enough. 

Macy's are being back filled with other uses such as theaters, entertainment complexes,etc.  

It would be tragic Sartrian theater.5 years of high maintenance property management and the headaches/heartaches that will undoubtedly cause isn't worth the $75k or whatever their costs to build a tiny ADU.  

So, there is my bet and this session of "Mystery Mortgage Theater" has concluded.

The HOA fee for our size unit is $309 per month and that covers all the amenities (pools, volley ball court, movie theater, shuttle to and from campus, etc.). 

The location and demographics will be critically important, but in their successes it seems like a repositioned center will have as an anchor one of the following: major gym, movie theater, discount apparel store (TJ Maxx, Ross, DD's Discount), hobby store, general discount store (99c Store, Dollar General).

This house is not in a flood zone, a mile from the beach, new movie theater and mall, and is the area is growing quickly. 

I do have a new lease till Oct 2017. so if it gets to foreclosure i have some time..that's good news. i really do want to stay i have really just settled in ..set up a awesome home theater and i  love my neighbors . i was under the assumption when i moved in that i would be able to stay here for perhaps 5 years. hes now talking about moving back in if he saves the house.
