again, the problem is they're punishing the wrong people...make the jail times lengthier for marijuana possession if that's the issue--don't fine the landlords bc their tenants are smoking weed..how does that teach the tenant to get in gear and become a better citizen?

Just the opposite - we have 3 current marijuana users. in your last post, you state you can reject smokers as a group.  

I'm not advocating for drug use but marijuana is looped into the same complaint in most computer systems so for everyone getting cited for having mj that comes across as drug activity - because it is.

We had them complete an application and the criminal background check revealed multiple convictions, including three DWI's, two possession of marijuana, two theft of under $500, and a few unauthorized vehicle operations.

Also, my wife just found out that the previous tenant drilled 8 holes in the attic on the walls doing Marijuana.

I have a situation where one of my tenants has been reported to me to be selling marijuana in his apartment.

Denver has been hot but runs a regulatory risk - if it becomes easier for marijuana related business proceeds to be deposited at banks you could stop see a collapse in part of whats currently proping up the real estate market.
