As a first time buyer who has closed a deal without a buyer's broker, I lean towards the notion that real estate agent commissions are too high.

He disagreed with the notion that a contract never ends without a signed termination.

But frankly you can get much of that just getting your RE license and go to work in the industry as well.. this is a very tough industry with a ton of failure. because there is some romanticized notion that you can get very rich with little or none of your own money... while there are success stories like this in all industries... its not the norm in RE...

It is because I dug further that I write off the preconceived notions of the film-maker.

You have 200k, you are simply not sure of the asset but I am guessing you have notions of investment horizon and return and any other limiting criteria.

Most should get away from the guru notions of protecting imaginary assets.

I think that's a great notion for the obvious reasons of being down the street from your properties.

I discovered too that there are many preconceived notions about this process and the people that go through it (as I had them too) but you can really only understand once you've been to the other side.
