I've actually been trying to enlighten all my soldiers on the simple house hack of buying a duplex with their VA loan and then have a property manager because lord knows they won't have the time to focus on the day to day.

I look at all these folks that say hey there are no deals its tough I am going to sit on the sidelines until it crashs and jump back in.. well that's fine from a land lord or own a rental perspective.. but this year will be our best in new construction.

The term "landlord"  or "land lord"  has always seemed like an old term left over from the 1800's when my ancestors were both peasants and poor tenant farmers paying monthly rent to the more wealthy owners.
