There are some areas that are less expensive like Gilroy, Hayward, San Lorenzo, San Leandro, etc. where the price point is lower where you might be able to achieve this easier.

Since you'll already have ties to FL, and it is a landlord-friendly state (compared to NY), I'd consider some of the multi-family markets there.All the best to you as you continue your REI journey!
