Even an end wall and a curtain around them would be better than anything,,,the bifold doors in solid closet by FAR better.

Just food for thought, many old chimneys eat up a lot of square footage in upper rooms in older homes that lack closet and or bathroom space.

see if the layout would allow a smaller GE space maker type stackable in a closet and even get a plumber to bid on plumbing it, an electrician to put in the proper electric hookup and a contractor to get you exhaust venting cut and installed or connected.

Odds are you’ll be stuck with the layout so welcome to small closets, tiny bathrooms, and “modest” sized kitchens.
