The biggest areas that have not truly been monetized are gambling and advertising in game.

@Mike McKinzie  Oh no you cant really be thinking about appreciation.. that's gambling.. that's speculation , that's icing on the cake LOL.. unfortunately  your thought process and mine are very much a minority thought process on BP.BP tends to be cash flow first foremost and always.. to the point that beginning investors actually believe it and take the risk chasing very high paper yields with no clue the risk they are taking. 

If you want to gamble money - and let's face it, anywhere you put money is a gamble, however reasonably secure - you better have a thick skin.

Its not all gambling either.  

Many times those are the folks looking for a quick fix - aka gamble for a long shot.  

@Dan Heuschele Great post and I love that you gave examples of you buying at the top of the market and being okI think it's funny that people will put money in the stock market based off historical returns, but think that expecting cities with high appreciation to continue appreciating is gambling

In 4 years time, I am gambling on my condo appreciation quite a bit.

I am afraid to jump in because this is my entire life savings that I'm gambling with.
