I'm trying to choose between Allure Ultra from HD and TRQ XD 4mm click from Lumber Liquidators.

The last house we rented we changed out the ultra cheap ceiling lamps and put in cheap ceiling fans in both bedrooms.

Adam Juodis, I went with Smart-core Ultra and it covers all kinds of imperfections.

But I would suggest using a thick primer or an "ultra hiding" paint to cover the brown as quickly as possible.

Costs for ultra lux high end remodels can go way over $500.00 to $600.00 per SF very easily. 

The "ultra premium" latex paints sold at Home Depot or Lowes come pretty close but cost about 10/gal more than the oil based paint.

The original Allure (without the "Ultra," "Isocore," or "Lifeproof" name) is very thin and WILL NOT stand up in a rental.We installed this in our home in 2008.  

I'd check out Jim Rickards book "Currency Wars" for an eye opening view on this situation.That being said I am taking advantage of the ultra low interest rates (on 30 yr. loans) to invest in cash flowing properties.
