Now I have threatened and been willing to go to court on some bigger apartment deals and on a larger package deal, but a little house just isn't worth it.ILikeVanilla, most people talk about wanting to start when they were younger, but let me tell you it is very hard to do this when you are young.

If everything is completely disclosed up front (on the initial offer/contracts and not a later addendum threatening not to close after the fact unless you get money back), then it comes down to the lender's liability for allowing the transaction to occur.It's not mortgage fraud if the mortgage company is fully apprised of the situation and approved the loan with the contract in hand disclosing the terms of the money back, etc., with HUD reflecting the buyer receiving funds back...........As a rule of thumb if it's a strange transaction, don't do it!

My renter in the City of Flint has moved all of her stuff out because we are in the process of an eviction (court date is Jan 8th) However, a cousin that has been staying there on an off (according to her) now refuses to leave and is being belligerent and threatening.

About a month later some 'we represent downtrodden minorities' organization (may have been the NAACP - I can't remember) sent me threatening letters and then called with various questions that they demanded I answer.

HOWEVER, they have still not found someone to sublease and if they don't have someone by Feb. 1 I am afraid they aren't going to be able to cover the full rent of $1200 and they have already threatened to just move out too if they can't find someone and can't afford the $1200.I have never run into this issue before and it seems completely messed up to me that they think they can just walk away from a legally biding agreement that we all signed as a 12 month lease for $1200 per month.

They were not at all happy with that.Long story short, the guy made a threatening remark to the PM today and so the management company just advised me that they are unable to effectively manage this situation and are pretty much hanging us out to dry with a very difficult tenant.
