If the landlord does not want his name on documents, as has been mentioned, he needs his attorney to help setup another person to be a legal signatory for the LLC.Common titles are: owner, managing member/partner, sole member, secretary, etc. 

I use a broker to place the tenant then my secretary manages them from there..

@Kyrstin Szewczyk Hi Kyrstin, I don't have an LLC in Washington but the starting point in almost every state to create a corp or llc will be the Secretary of the States Office.

If an existing mini-storage facility is named Madison Storage and I open a maxistorage facility down the street and named it Madison Storage Garages (and the Secretary of State approved our business's name), can the existing facility sue me for having too similar of a name?  

Now go on the Secretary of State website and see who owns the llc.  

If I go back that 20 yrs and bought each unit with cash earned as a legal secretary with a high school education I don't think I would be in the same place today.
