Also, if you want to hold them to the new lease end date you must, under the law, mitigate their damages which means you have to diligently try to rent the place out ......it sounds to me like they were trying to uphold your requests... so i would not punish them for doing so!

I guess my question boils down to if there was anyway I could get an estimate on the terms of the loan, and what the amount I would be approved for without being punished for it.Kind of like how contractors give free estimates for their services.

This is a red flag with your PM as they should be very familiar with this and advised of such, ESPECIALLY as it states to try to evict or terminate a lease during the moratorium is a CRIMINAL offense in MN punishable via jail time and/or a fine.

I agree with you, but rent control punishes the nice guy landlords (intended or not) who don't keep up with market rates.
